The painting is done and the roof is going on...

We are close to being finished with the structure. Painting is done and the blue roof will be totally on soon. This week landscaping is happening, starting with laying of the brick walkway, complete with donor bricks. The renovations to Bowman's outdoor space has truly been a join effort between parents, town and schools facilities personnel, school administration, and our outside contractors. Although we are close to the start of school, it looks like we will be ready!

We are very fortunate to be adding a new climbing structure with three slides and multiple places to play. It is a good year to be a Bowman student!

Our new climbing structure is taking shape

We are on schedule for a new Performance Center AND a new playground climbing structure. The first part of the climbing structure is in. Stay tuned to watch it grow.

Workers have been carefully repairing our playground. The new asphalt lip and extra drainage in the structure area should mean that we no longer have "Lake Bowman" when it rains. Stay tuned for what goes in this big space!

Next comes the metal roof!

The Outdoor Performance Center is progressing nicely. We anticipate the metal roof any day now.

After a delay to get the right kind of concrete block, the walls on our Outdoor Performance Center are going up!

Four days later our STAGE area is being formed!

Here are the concrete footings that will hold the steel columns

And then it is time to pour the first of the concrete

Next holes need to be dug for the foundation

These holes are filled with stone and reinforcing bar before concrete is poured.

Construction of the Outdoor Classroom Begins
